Intandem won the tender to design, manufacture and supply all Volunteer and Executive uniforms for the Deaflympics.  The Deaflympic Games is under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee and is the second oldest multi-sport and cultural festival in the world.  It was attended by 3,500 athletes and officials from 85 countries in 15 sports.

The uniforms required very large and complex embroidery, particularly over the shorts and jackets.  As the deaf use sign language, the Deaflympic Committee wanted a design that included predominantly hands in many colours, representing the uniqueness of the deaf community and all international colours and creeds.  As can be seen, the hands decoration was large, colourful and complex.
